OUE DOWNTOWN

Situated above Downtown Gallery are the two towers, OUE Downtown 1 & 2. The former consists mainly of Serviced Apartments and Offices while the latter remains solely for Office use.
 
As the Architect for this development, Ar. Jonathan and his team back in DP Architects were coordinating this large-scale mixed-use building among many Building Consultants and 3 Main Contractors for Podium, Serviced Apartment, and Facade Refurbishment works.

Built in the 1970s, the existing 2 towers were first cladded with mosaic tiles. They underwent aluminium re-cladding works subsequently before the current facade refurbishment works. In the presence of existing tenants, podium and serviced apartment Main Contractors, Ar. Jonathan and his team of Architects administrated the facade works with YKK AP by cladding with a new unitized curtain wall from the outside using mast climber, while the old aluminium facade were demolished from the inside.

Concurrently with facade upgrading works, internal fit-out works to office lobbies and corridors were also carried out with no major disturbance to the approximately 530,000 sq ft of Grade A offices. These works went smoothly thru logical strategy and rationale while satisfying the Client's needs to keep tenants intact to prevent any loss in Rental Income - a win-win situation for everybody.

The posh and modern design was peppered with pockets of visual green reliefs specially curated and implemented by the team. These consist of landscape with water features that intertwine with heavy networks of M&E services while providing auto-irrigation, which is one of the prerequisites of its Green Mark Gold Award.
