In many HDB flats, homeowners are faced with the daily challenge of fitting their lives into compact, pre-defined spaces. Kitchens double as dining areas, bedrooms struggle to accommodate both rest and work, and storage often takes the form of clutter.
Archtur approaches this with the belief that every square metre holds untapped potential. In HDB interior design, we use a UX lens to ask better questions: How do you wind down after a long day? Where do your children play, study and grow? How do you entertain guests without compromising privacy? With these questions in mind, we rework interiors to make room for what matters.
A small home should never mean a small life. It’s this sensitivity that sets Archtur apart: we don't just decorate; we optimise.

“Dear Archtur and Jon, my husband and I would like to thank you for your services. Not only that you created a home that gives us daily joy, more importantly a lifetime memory... We are really thankful for your superb client service and solid professionalism.”

Who We Are
Archtur was founded by Jonathan Lim, a registered architect by Board of Architects and accredited interior designer in Singapore, recognised by the Society of Interior Designers Singapore (SIDAC). He is also a member of the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA), the Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME) and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF).
Jonathan has extensive experience not only as an architect, but also as a Developer and Main Contractor, where he accomplished a wide variety of projects ranging from landed houses, condominiums, HDB flats, hotels, serviced apartments, offices, F&B, retail, industrial and dormitories.
The firm is known for its ability to understand the gaps on the ground before any design or iteration takes place. The team synergises these observations together with a series of user experience design strategies through Explore, Empathise, Envision, Experiment and Execute. The results? Meaningful spaces that anticipate and adapt to ever-evolving modern-day needs.
Coupled with the team's expertise in architectural, structural, M&E, construction and authority regulations, we deliver exceptional projects that integrate aesthetic functionality that withstand the test of time.
Businesses We Serve

-
1. What types of commercial projects does Archtur work on?We work on a wide range of commercial projects, including restaurants, aesthetic clinics, retail shops, offices and multi-storey commercial facilities. Our process revolves around customising each design to your brand’s identity, operational goals and spatial context for compliance and meaningful user experiences.
-
2. Why should I work with a commercial architect firm instead of just a contractor?A commercial architect firm brings strategic design thinking, regulatory expertise and long-term spatial planning to the table, something a contractor alone may not provide. At Archtur, we guide you from concept to authority approvals to build-ready plans for your project to be holistically designed, not just constructed.
-
3. Do I need to secure permits before engaging Archtur? No. One of our strengths lies in handling regulatory submissions on your behalf. We manage the entire authority clearance process, such as URA change-of-use, BCA approvals and fire safety. We guarantee that your project complies with all relevant codes and regulations for your peace of mind.
-
4. How involved will I be in the design process?Very. Our approach is highly collaborative. We begin with a deep discovery phase where we align on your goals, needs and constraints. Throughout design development and detailing, we maintain open communication and integrate your feedback to ensure the final outcome reflects your vision and priorities.
-
5. How long does a typical commercial project take?Timelines vary depending on the scale and complexity of the project. We’ll provide a clear project schedule during the early stages and keep you informed at every milestone.
